Speech initiation in a child diagnosed with autism.

Speech initiation in a child diagnosed with autism.

This video tells the story of a boy who, at the age of four and a half, was nonverbal and unable to understand what was happening around him. He was diagnosed with autism, and the prognosis was not encouraging.

After completing the rehabilitation program and starting a diet, the boy began to show his first signs of improvement. His tantrums subsided, he began to utter unrelated words, and he began to focus his gaze and recognize his mother.

During the second course of treatment, the boy developed echolalia , a speech disorder (repetition of words and phrases heard from others), and at 5 to 5,5 years of age, he began repeating words. He also began moving consciously and showing fear of danger.

After the second course of treatment, the boy weaned himself from diapers, and in the third year, he began forming simple sentences. At age seven, he entered a school for typically developing children and became an excellent student.

The video's author expresses gratitude to Mikhail Levit for the LTP program , the doctor, and other specialists who helped the boy. He also notes that everyone involved in the treatment became like a family.

This video demonstrates how a comprehensive approach can help develop speech in a child with autism. However, it's important to note that each case is unique, and results may vary.
